Praise + Gratitude = Joy & Happiness
Day 8: Matthew 7:7
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
I’m so grateful that God desires a relationship with me. Not just any relationship, but a close intimate one through prayer.
This is true for all of us!
Prayer is so powerful.
I’m thankful for verses like Matthew 7:7, because they remind me it’s okay to ask God in confidence for exactly what I need, desire, and dream of. I don’t have to hold anything back, and it feels amazing to pour my heart out to Him. I’m learning to pray big and bold prayers, because I wholeheartedly believe that He will answer them, as long as I’m walking in His will for my life.
This verse also serves as a reminder that I need to place effort in seeking Him out. I need to go after Him with all my might, pursue Him, and crave Him. He already knows what I need, what I desire, and what is best for me, but He wants me to spend time with Him. Through prayer I can give Him praise, gratitude, and love. It’s not just about asking Him to fulfill my needs. It’s about developing the most important relationship of my life. A relationship that I truly value. A relationship that I can’t live without.
Matthew 7:7 also assures me that it’s okay to keep reaching out to God over and over again with earnestness and perseverance. He doesn’t get tired of hearing my voice. In fact, just the opposite, He wants me to keep knocking over and over again.
I want to encourage you to pray and pray often, and while you’re asking, seeking, and knocking, don’t forget to give Him praise and show Him gratitude for the prayers He’s already answered!!
Ask with confidence.
Seek with care.
&
Knock with earnestness.
