Praise + Gratitude = Joy & Happiness
Day 1: Psalm 100
A Psalm for giving thanks.
Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
I challenge you to go through today with a mindset of praise and gratitude.
- Be thankful and say so.
- Don’t complain about anything!
- Serve others with joy and gladness, push yourself to be the light in someone’s darkness.
- Sing your favorite worship songs while doing mundane chores, such as cooking and cleaning. Or maybe on the commute to work.
- Take a few moments to praise Him in prayer. I love the Amplified Bible version of verse four. It says “Be Thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name!”
- Keep your eyes open today, don’t miss His goodness, love, and faithfulness in your life and the lives of those around you.
