I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.
1 Timothy 2:1
Prayer is so very important and powerful, we are blessed to have a Heavenly Father who listens to every request and petition. The Bible tells us that Jesus and the Holy Spirit will intercede and plead on our behalfs.
Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.
Hebrews 2:18
And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.
Romans 8:27
1 Timothy 2:1 instructs us to intercede or intervene for all people. This is a very powerful command, because it invites us to be just like Jesus. We are to pray for others, lifting them up to the throne of God. Praying for others is true ministry work, and it can take place anywhere at anytime. Paul urges us to obey this command. He knows the power our prayers, petitions, and intercessions can have on other people’s lives. Prayer has the power to change everything, and it’s one of the greatest acts of love. Don’t just say “I’ll pray for you”. Take the time to do it- right then and there! Bless someone today by praying for them.
Who will you pray for today?
A friend? A family member? A co-worker? Think about your circle of influence, I’m sure God will lead you to just the right person who needs your intercession.
1 Timothy 2:1 says and thanksgiving be offered on behalf of all men…
The last part of this verse reminds us that when God answers our prayers it’s important to take the time to thank Him for His blessings.
Prayer is a simple way to show someone love & the light of Jesus.
Never forget that simple sincere faith filled prayers are effective and life changing.
And always remember to lift up that praise report, He deserves all the praise and glory!

Prayer IS so important. And yet too often do we say we are going to pray for someone, and then simply forget or get “too busy.” (Or at least I am guilty of this). And yes, you’re right, the Lord will lead you in who to pray for! Great reminders!
Thank you! I’m guilty of it too Leah, but I’m definitely trying to improve!
Yes yes, Simple Sincere prayers ARE life changing! Too often we try to overcomplicate them.
