Pray that the LORD your God will show us what to do and where to go.” -Jeremiah 42:3 NLT
I can’t think of any better verse to start our week with, and to live out in our lives over & over again.
How many decisions will you have to make today?
Fun fact: “It’s estimated that the average adult makes about 35,000 remotely conscious decisions each day. Each decision, of course, carries certain consequences with it that are both good and bad.” -science.unctv.org
Today I will have to decide how I want to show up in my own life. I will have to make hundreds of thousands of decisions concerning myself & others today. And every single decision I make will have a consequence. These decisions will ultimately move me closer to the plans God has for my life or further away. No pressure right?
I will make decisions regarding my children & how I parent them. I will make decisions regarding my husband and our marriage. I will make decisions on how I show up in other peoples lives. I will make decisions regarding our finances. I will make decisions concerning my health, both mentally and physically. I will make decisions on what type of coworker I choose to be, and how I choose to show up for my patients and the doctors I work for. I will make decisions concerning my own personal growth: mind, body, and soul. And so many more!
Your life may not look exactly like mine, but one thing is for certain, you will have to make hundreds of thousands of decisions concerning your own life, and how you choose to show up in it today. These decisions will ultimately move you towards the life God has planned for you or not. It’s your choice.
Here’s the beautiful thing, we don’t have to do this on our own. We can pray Jeremiah 42:3 over our lives right now, and over & over again. Bringing God into the center of every plan we make and every thing we do.
Are you thankful for a God that meets us right where we are? I am!
Father, I ask You to show me the way in which I should walk & the things that I should do today. Father, I desire to build the life You have planned for me. Allow me to walk in Your will for my life with every single decision I make.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Friends, I hope God blesses every single decision you make and every single thing you do this week!
